What size pot do I need for a 180cm faux tree?
A pot with a 32–40cm mouth opening works best for 160–180cm trees. For 210cm+ trees, look for 40–50cm. When in doubt, size up — a slightly generous pot looks intentional and grounded.
Do I need drainage holes for a faux plant pot?
No — faux plants never need watering so drainage is completely irrelevant. This gives you complete freedom to use purely decorative pots that wouldn't work for real plants.
What is fibrestone (and fibreclay)?
Fibrestone and fibreclay combine stone or clay powder with resin to create a pot that looks and feels like the real material but is significantly lighter and more durable. Ideal for large faux trees — visual weight without being impossible to move.
Which pot works best with a faux olive tree?
Terracotta, aged concrete and ribbed fibreclay urns are the classic olive tree pairings. For a contemporary look, matte white or charcoal fibrestone works beautifully.
